Yamuna Nagar The newly created
district of Yamuna Nagar derives its name from its Headquarters
Town Yamuna Nagar. The antiquity of the region is well established
on the basis of the discovery of numerous pre-historic, proto-historic
and historical sites. on the basis of excavations and findings,
we can prepare an outline of the chronological sequence of the
earliest cultures of the district. Some of its towns and villages
such as Sadhaura , Sugh , Jagadhri and Kapal Mochan find mention
in ancient Indian Literature.
Kapal Mochan, the mark of integrity & harmony of different
castes, religions and creeds is the historical & religious
place situated 28 Km. from Yamuna Nagar in the Old Sindhu Forest
of Bilaspur.
Panchtirthi Harnaul, is situated on Yamuna Nagar-Topra Kalan
Road about 10 Kms. From Yamuna Nagar Bus Stand. Here temple
and pool connected with five Pandavas are revered. Their idols
are placed in the religious shrine. The people who visit Kapal
Mochan Fair also come to Harnaul to pay their homage.
Bhatoli, is a small village where an ancient Shiva Temple
is located. Here a big fair is held on the Maha Shiv Ratri
Day.
