theatre, science and industry. The gateway to the East - it
is a city with rich heritage, bustling streets and bewildering
variety of facets. BHUBANESWAR, the "Temple City of India"-
an important Hindu pilgrimage center, where temple building
activities of Orissan style flowered from its very inception
to its fullest culmination extending over a period of over
one thousand years. The magnificent Sun Temple at KONARK is
the culmination of Orissan temple architecture, and one of
the most stunning monuments of religious architecture in the
world. The poet Rabindranath Tagore said of Konark that 'here
the language of stone surpasses the language of man', and
truly the experience of Konark is impossible to translate
into words. PURI - One of the four celebrated religious centers
of India- the abode of Lord Jagannath, has a round the year
sunny beach.
Day 01 Arrive at Kolkatta and transfer to hotel for overnight
stay.
Day 02 Morning city tour of Kolkatta. afternoon board flight
to Bhubneshwar. Overnight
Day 03 Morning tour of Bhubneshwar and later leave by surface
for Puri enroute visiting Raghurajpur - Patta painting village,
Ashokan Rock Edict, Dhauli Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay at
the Hotel.
Day 04 Stay at Puri. Later visit Konark sun temple complex.
Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 05 Morning drive to Bhubneshwar and transfer to airport
or railway station for journey to onward destination
