The Valley of Flowers falls under the International Bio-Sphere reserves and in the month of July to August one can see more than 250 varieties of flowers in bloom, some of them are rare and this can be once in a lifetime memorable experience for any nature lover.

The Valley can be reached by a 16 km treak from Govind Ghat, the roadhead at Ghagaria in GMVNS Tourist rest house or Forest rest house. The valley can only be visited during daytime and overnight stay is prohibited. The valley of flowers National Park falls under the international bio-sphere reserves. It also holds a no of faunal species, like the snow leopard, the brown bear, the Himalayan black bear and the Musk deer.
