Day 1 - DELHI
Arrive Delhi. Meeting and assistance on arrival and
transfer to hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 – DELHI / RISHIKESH
Depart for Rishikesh by coach At the foothills of the
majestic Himalayas, surrounded by tranquil forests is the
revered city of Rishikesh A spiritual centre for learning, since
ages. It is Rishikesh where the mighty Ganga changes its
hues-changing from tumultuous, wild barrage to gently flowing
serene river.
Arrive and check in at hotel.
Day 3 – RISHIKESH / GANGOTRI
Depart for Gangotri by coach (11 hours drive). The
drive is through several villages and enroute pass through Tehri,
site of the biggest Dam in Asia which is along the banks of the
legendary Bhagirathi river.
Upon arrival check in at tourist bungalow.
Overnight at bungalow
Day 4 – GANGOTRI / BHOJBAS
(1100 FT)
Early morning spend an hour at Gangotri Temple dedicated to
holy river Ganga Thereafter; walk on a well made almost levelled
path for 06 hours to reach Bhojbas. The entire route provides
spectacular views of the Mt Matri, Bhagirathi and Shivling group
of peaks. Overnight at tented camps.
Day 5 – BHOJBAS / GAUMUKH
(12700 FT)
BASE CAMP OF MT.SHIVLING
Morning trek to Gaumukh, the source of river Ganga, also
known as Bhagirathi. Gaumukh means mouth of Cow Later traverse
through the lateral morain of Gangotri glacier to Tapovan (base
camp of Mt Shivling) at 1400 ft.
Overnight at camp.
Day 6 - BC.MOUNT SHIVLING / CHIRBAS
(10600 ft)
Morning trek down to chirbas (6 hours trek)
Rest of the time free. Overnight at camp.
Day 7 – CHIRBAS / GANGOTRI
Morning return trek to Gangotri (3 hours trek). Rest
of the day free to visit the saints and sages and watching
people performing religious rites by the side of the holy Ganga.
Overnight at tourist bungalow.
Day 8 – GANGOTRI / DHANOLTI
(7000FT)
Morning depart for Dhanolti by coach (10 hrs drive). Arrive
& check in at hotel.
Rest of the day free.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 – DHANOLTI / MUSSOORIE
(35 KMS)
Morning a short three hours trek to Sukandadevi Temple at
the height of 8500 feet and view the entire Garwhal Himalayas.
Afternoon depart for Mussoorie by coach. Arrive and check in at
hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 – MUSSOORIE / DELHI
(290 KMS)
Morning depart for Delhi by coach. Arrive and check in at
hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 - DELHI
This morning you will start sightseeing tour of Old
and New Delhi An aura of history is everywhere in Old Delhi Red
Fort with its majestic ramparts and Jama Masjid one of the
Asia’s Largest mosques form the hub. Emperor Humayun’s Tomb and
Qutub Minar complex, dating back to the 12th century. You will
also make a stop at Rajghat - Mahatma Gandhi’s final resting
place.
New Delhi is well planned with wide tree lined avenues,
fountains and parks Colonial architecture dominates this art of
the city, you will drive along the ceremonial avenues of Rajpath
and view the splendid Presidential Palace, the circular
parliament House and impressive diplomatic enclave.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 - DEPART DELHI
Your India experience comes to an end as you are
transfered to International airport to board your homeward
flight.
