CAMEL SAFARI IN
RAJASTHAN - 1
Day 1 - JAISALMER/ BADA BAGH / RAMKUNDA
Rajasthan is an area where one can spend days
exploring dreamy and dusty landscapes with temples, palaces,
forts, archaeological ruins, cacti, peacocks, deer, wild boars
and other wild and bird life.
Camels are still the main source of transportation in the desert
and best way to explore it is on the back of a Camel.
The best season for Camel Safari in Rajasthan is from November
to February when the mid day temperature is 20 to 25 degree
Celsius and night temperature drops to about 10 degree Celsius.
Morning commence the CAMEL SAFARI to Bada Bagh via Gajrup Sagar.
The Camel Safari day begins when one of our kitchen staff awakes
you with a hot cup of tea or coffee. After a hearty breakfast
the Camel caravan sets off at a leisurely pace along the fixed
trail.
Lunch at Bada Bagh. After lunch, there is some spare time to
either visit the nearby village or just relax under a tree or in
some farm hut. Continue Safari to RAMKUNDA. Then the caravan
moves towards the campsite for the overnight where tea, snacks
and cold drinks await you.
After Sunset, campfire is arranged. While the members are served
with three course Indian, Chinese or Continental dinner, the
accompanying staff entertains them with traditional songs, music
and dance. For overnight stay, spacious tents are pitched
equipped with mattresses, bed sheets and blankets. Overnight in
tents.
Day 2 – RAMKUNDA / LODURVA / CHATRAIL
Morning commence Camel Safari to Lodhruva via Roopsi.
At Lodurva visit the Jain Temples, rebuilt in ‘70s are the only
reminders of the city’s former magnificence. The Temples have
ornate carved arches at the entrance and a Kalputra, the divine
tree within. Lunch at Lodurva. Continue safari to Chatrail.
Overnight at camp.
Day 3 – CHATRAIL / CHANDI / AMAR SAGAR
/ JAISALMER
Morning commence Camel Safari to Chandi via Kala.
Lunch at Chandi. Continue Safari to Jaisalmer via Amar Sagar -
North west of Jaisalmer, this once pleasant formal garden has
now fallen into ruins.
A beautiful carved Jain temple is being painstakingly restored
by craftsmen brought in from Agra. Commenced in the late ‘70s,
this monumental task is expected to take many years. Continue
Safari to Jaisalmer. Arrive and check in at HOTEL GORBANDH
PALACE. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 – JAISALMER / JODHPUR / DELHI
Morning sightseeing tour. Afternoon depart for
Jodhpur by Coach. Upon arrival at Jodhpur transfer to airport to
board flight for Delhi.
Depart Jodhpur by IC 494 at 1905 hrs.
Arrive Delhi at 2100 hrs.
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to International
airport to board flight for onward destination.
Day 5 - DEPART DELHI
Depart for U.S.A
CAMEL SAFARI IN RAJASTHAN - 2
DESERT SAFARI
PROGRAMME : ONE
Day 1 - DELHI
Arrive Delhi. Meeting and transfer to hotel. In New
Delhi. Morning at leisure. Afternoon sightseeing of Old and New
Delhi.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 2 – DELHI / BIKANER
Morning at leisure in the hotel.
Check-out at 12 noon. Afternoon free to explore Connaught Place.
Evening transfer to Railway Station and assistance in boarding
train to Bikaner.
Overnight on board the train.
Day 3 - BIKANER
Arrive Bikaner in the morning. Meeting and transfer
to Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Bikaner City and visit the
Camel breeding farm. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 – BIKANER / PANCHO / DHANKLA BERA
After breakfast depart for Panchu by surface.
Enroute visit the rat Temple at Deshnoke. Meet the camel crew at
Panchu and begin the camel safari adventure covering 15 kms
through villages and cultivated farm land. Dinner and overnight
in tented camp.
Day 5 - DHANKLA BERA / HANUMAN HATTI
After breakfast at the camp, continue the Safari to
Hanuman Hatti covering 18 kms through typical villages of mud
huts surrounded with sand dunes. Lunch enroute.
Dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 6 - HANUMAN HATTI / BHARDIA NADA
After breakfast at the camp, leave for Bhardia Nada
covering 12 kms through villages, farm lands and sand dunes.
Meal and overnight in tents.
Day 7 - BHARDIA NADA / JAMBA
After breakfast commence the last leg of Camel Safari
covering 15 kms to Jamba. Late afternoon visit the Jamba temple
located near a lake where one can swim. Meals and overnight in
tents or at the Jamba Fort.
Day 8 – JAMBA / JAISALMER
After breakfast leave for Jaisalmer by surface. 200
kms journey completed in about 5-6 hours. Meal and overnight in
hotel.
PROGRAMME : TWO
Day 1 - DELHI
Arrive Delhi. Meeting and transfer to hotel in New
Delhi. Afternoon sightseeing of Old and New Delhi. Overnight
stay in the hotel.
Day 2 – DELHI / BIKANER
Morning at leisure in the hotel. Check-out at 12
noon. Rest of the day free for individual activities. Evening
transfer to the Railway Station and assistance in boarding the
train.
Day 3 - BIKANER
Arrive Bikaner in the morning. Meeting and transfer
to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of the Bikaner City and visit to
the Camel breeding farm. Overnight in hotel.
Day 4 – BIKANER / DESHNOKE / JANGLU
After breakfast leave for Janglu by surface covering
40 kms. Visit the Rat Temple at Deshnoke. Meet the camel crew.
Begin the first leg of the Safari to Janglu covering 15 kms
through flat terrain of the desert covered with bushes, trees
and some cultivated land. Dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 5 – JANGLU / DEENGSARI
After breakfast at the camp continue the safari
covering 21 kms through villages, farms and sand dunes. Meals
and overnight in tents.
Day 6 – DEENGSARI / SAINSAR
After breakfast at the camp, leave for Sainsar
covering 18 kms through villages and sand dunes. The trail today
enters into more isolated desert country. Some of the villages
are located on high sand dunes. Meals and overnight in tents.
Day 7 – SAINSAR / KHAJORA
After breakfast at the camp, continue the Safari to
Khajora covering 12 kms through long stretches of sand dunes,
small villages and farms. Meals and overnight in tents
Day 8 - KHAJORA/ MITHRIYA
After breakfast at the camp, leave for Mithriya
covering 17 kms through interesting desert terrain. Meals and
overnight in tents
Day 9 – MITHRIYA / BHAGWAT DHANI
After breakfast in the camp, continue the safari to
Bhagwat Dhani (farm) covering 18 kms through typical villages
and sand dunes. Meals and overnight in tents.
Day 10 - BHAGWAT DHANI / JAMBA
After breakfast commence the last leg of the camel
safari adventure covering 20 kms through more fertile and
cultivated landscapes. Evening visit to the Jamba temple located
near a lake where people can swim. Meals and overnight in tents
or in Jamba fort.
Day 11 – JAMBA / JAISALMER
After breakfast leave for Jaisalmer by surface
covering 200 kms in 5-6 hours. Meals and overnight in hotel.
